Proportions	Tail is the Length of the Hook Shank

1. Build a thread foundation down 1/3 the length of the hook shank. Position the eye about ¼” from the hook eye. Securely lash the eye to the top of the hook shank using figure 8 thread wraps.

2. Tie in the lower wing by selecting a small bunch of craft fur and binding it before the eye. Bring the craft fur over the eye and bind it behind the eye. Move the thread back to the hook eye.

3. Turn the hook over (point up) in the vise.

4. Tie in 6-8 strands of krystal flash and trim the flash about ¾” longer than the lower wing

5. Select a bunch of fox tail, remove it from the hide, and tie this bunch in at the hook eye.

6. Finish the head with a whip finish and a drop of head cement.
